Celebrate the cherry season with a homemade fresh cherry crisp! This quick and easy gluten-free dessert is the perfect ending to a hot summer day!
Cherries are one of my favorite fruits of summer! I love their dark red color and the sweet burst of flavor when you bite into one. They make a delicious gluten-free snack when paired along with a sharp cheddar or Colby Jack cheese.
My absolute favorite way to eat cherries is in a crisp. I always have gluten-free flour and oatmeal on hand in the pantry and fruit crisps are so quick to make. A sprinkle of almond extract over the cherries takes this gluten-free dessert to a whole new level of yumminess! The simple recipe serves two; however, you can easily double or triple it to feed a crowd!Print
