Fresh Gluten-Free Cherry Crisp

Fresh cherries star in this delicious gluten-free fruit crisp. Topped with a buttery crumble, you will love the hint of almond flavoring!



1 cup fresh cherries, washed and pitted

1/4 teaspoon almond blend extract

1/2 cup gluten-free almond blend flour

1/2 cup gluten-free old-fashioned oats

1/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Dash of ground nutmeg

6 Tablespoons unsalted butter, softened


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
  2. Divide cherries and place in two ramekins. Sprinkle 1/8 teaspoon of almond extract over cherries and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the gluten-free flour blend, oatmeal, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a small bowl. Using a fork, cut in the butter until soft crumbles form. Divide crumble mixture between the two ramekins.
  4. Bake for 30 minutes or until topping is brown and cherries are bubbly.
  5. Remove from oven and cool 15 minutes before serving.


Delicious served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.

In a pinch, you can use frozen cherries. However, using fresh takes this simple dessert to a whole new level of yumminess!
